- 1/2 cup medjool dates, pitted and chopped

- 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Mark is a sucker for chocolates. We also have this favorite pastry shop in the Philippines that offers the yummiest brownies! But because of his line of work and since he's also into bodybuilding, he only gets to at least savor some chocolaty goodness during cheat meals, mostly in form of chocolate desserts.
I used to recreate our favorite brownies back when I was still into baking (which I definitely miss doing, by the way) and even brought some when I first came to Dubai, which Mark definitely adored.
With all that in mind, I decided to make brownies for him, one with the same old fudge brownie goodness minus all the guilt!
I used the same peanut butter, whey protein, and oatmeal base from my No-Bake Protein Energy Balls; did away with the dark choco chips and used cashews instead of almonds. I also added medjool dates and cocoa powder which gives this no-bake brownies its fudge texture and makes it more chocolaty.
I used a square container which made the brownies fuller, but you can opt to use larger containers for thinner slices as you wish. I also used a Chocolate Milkshake flavored whey protein powder from Syntha-6, since we cannot find the Chocolate Cake Batter flavor, but even just plain chocolate whey protein works wonders.
This fudge brownies are packed with protein to give you that energy boost and are surely a healthy way of satisfying your chocolate cravings! I also topped it with protein frosting plus some more cashews for an even yummier treat!
Post your own attempt at them on Instagram and tag them with #SweetNothingsBlog so I can check them out! :D
